El-Goli Park

El-Goli Park is Tabriz is a superbly beautiful historic park, containing an artificial lake with a peninsular mansion. The mansion was formerly a royal residence for the Qajarid crown prince. El-Goli Park is a miniature picture of Tabriz’ great culture, history, and nature.

Azerbaijan museum

Azerbaijan museum of Tabriz is the second most important archeological museum in Iran, first being the National Museum of Iran located in Tehran. Azerbaijan museum displays a large number of objects from different historical periods, some of which date back 7000 years.

Kandovan Village

60 kilometers away from Tabriz, lies the thirteenth-century village of Kandovan that consists of manmade cliff dwellings that are still inhabited. The troglodyte homes, which are called “Karaan” by the locals, make the landscape of the village look like a giant termite colony.

Blue Mosque

The Blue Mosque is an old historic mosque, built during the Qara Qoyunlu dynasty in the 15th century. The mosque is most famous for the azure and turquoise mosaics that cover both its exterior and interior. The mosque was severely damaged by an earthquake in 1779, leaving only the entrance hall. However, thanks to the restoration process that began in 1973, the main structure is complete again.

Old Grand Bazaar

Old Grand Bazaar of Tabriz is the largest covered bazaar in the world and one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East. This bazaar used to be one of the most important trade centers on the Silk Road. Tabriz grand bazaar is one of Iran’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
