Kerman is the center of a province of the same name in the eastern part of Iran. This province is adjacent to the Yazd desert region and the hot area of Sistan and Baluchestan. But contrary to common beliefs, due to its height, it has a good moderation in weather. According to the historical evidence of Kerman, it dates back to the BC. Kerman’s name is also seen in the inscription of Shapur I Sassanid along with other ancient lands such as Part, Pars, Sistan, Khuzestan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Assyria. Kerman is known as a major city and a city in periods of history alongside other cities. This city is now important from an industrial point of view. Kindness of people, historical attractions and variety of food and handicrafts for the people of this area have added to its attractiveness. Sites such as Ganjali Khan Complex, Fath-Abad Garden, Shahdad Desert part of Lut Desert is located in Kerman province. Also, beautiful aqueducts (Qanaat) with their interesting system are some of the attractions of Iranian desert tourism.
